 Nel cuore antico e misterioso di una Napoli orami stanca, sorge il complesso del Madre, museo di arte contemporanea la cui struttura viva e moderna e le candide mura quasi stonano con ciò che vive attorno… Dal terzo piano dell’edificio mi affaccio osservando quella Napoli che si vede spesso nelle cartoline: palazzi bassi decadenti, ragazzini indisciplinati che giocano a pallone tra i vicoli, vecchie signore che urlano, lenzuola e vestiti colorati appesi ai balconi da sembrare da lontano “opere d’arte” che fanno quasi concorrenza a quelle studiate e ricercate all’interno del museo. Gestimaterici è il titolo della mostra di Gianfranco Morini in corso fino al 31 maggio 2009 al Museo Internazionale della Ceramica, a Faenza.
Gesto e materia sono i protagonisti dele sue creazioni. Un’arte che nasce dal gioco, dal caso e dal piacere per la sperimentazione. Materiali prediletti? Gli impasti da grès chamottati, colorati e cotti ad alta temperatura, spesso innestati da elementi in ferro di recupero smaltati con vetroceramica. Si tratta di ingranaggi meccanici bloccati dall’argilla che spesso viene lasciata al naturale oppure è colorata.
